Ironmaze Defenders
★★★★★ 4.7
Ironmaze Defenders is exactly the kind of tower defence we started this site to talk about. You don't just plug towers into fixed slots. You build the path itself, forcing enemies into long, painful loops past your guns.
The clever twist is that later waves start avoiding your favourite chokepoints, so a layout that carried you through chapter one falls apart by chapter three. It keeps you honest. I rebuilt my whole approach twice and enjoyed every minute of it.
Performance is smooth even on an older phone, and the pause-to-plan button means you never lose because your thumb was slow. This is a thinker's game that respects your time.
What we liked
- Build-your-own-path maze design
- Enemies adapt to your favourite tactics
- Reliable pause-to-plan controls
